This is Soda Lake Road. Not many vehicles pass through here. People are missing out.
Elkhorn Road in Carrizo Plain National Monument is a little more rugged than Soda Lake Road. Still, it's easily navigable on the GSA.
This was taken somewhere in Wyoming. There is no significance other than the fact that it took until Wyoming to actually pull out my camera to use it.
The sky in the flatter parts of the country like Wyoming is different. We rarely get cloud patterns like this in the Bay Area.
My bike is pointing eastbound, the direction in which I was heading. This was shot in Wyoming. The meat of the storm got me over a pass. The intensity of the rain and the lightning was simply amazing. Shock and awe.
Here I am after I made it through the first rain storm. The camera is roughly facing westbound and you can see behind me that it's still pouring. I was glad to make it through alive!
If the rain was always just off in the distance, it would be great! This was taken in the late afternoon in Wyoming facing roughly SSE. This wasn't the classic the rainbow where it's a semi-circle. Instead, it only had one leg.
This was taken in Wyoming with the camera facing to the NE. After taking this photo, I headed towards the rainbows but couldn't find the pot of gold.
